What Is Climate Change? How climate change increase risk of glacier and rock collapse

What Is Climate Change? How climate change raises the risk of glacier and rock collapse Climate change means abrupt shifts in temperature and weather. Some of these shifts occur naturally, while others result from human activities such as burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas. Burning fossil fuels produces greenhouse emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun's heat and raising temperatures. The main greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, cause climate change. Clearing land and deforestation can also release CO2. Agriculture, oil and gas are the primary sources of methane emissions. These are a few of the main sources of greenhouse gases. We face a huge challenge, but we have many solutions. Climate change can be reduced by eliminating CO2 from the atmosphere, which requires systemic changes. The United Nations Environment Programme estimates that countries must double their pledges under the Paris Agreement within the next dec...

Funding Environmental Issues: Past, Present and Future

Funding  Environmental  Issues:  Past,  Present  and  Future Environmental   issues   are   changes   to   nature   that   are  bad  and  mostly  caused  by  human activity.   These  problems  affect  air,  water,  soil,  plants,  animals  and  human  health.  They  are   connected   to   each  other,  so   solving   one   often   helps   solve  others. The History of Environmental Problems   Coal consumption increased during the Industrial Revolution and as cities became more smoke-filled, the serious environmental damage increased. In the 1800s and early 1900s, scientists began to understand how carbon dioxide traps heat in the atmosphere.  The 1970s saw the advent of global activism. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) was founded at th...

What Happens to Your Body After Breathing Polluted Air for 24 Hours?

What Happens to Your Body After Breathing Polluted Air for 24 Hours?

Pollution: The Invisible Killer We Created

💨  Pollution: The Invisible Killer We Created Our world is struggling to breathe. The air is hazy, the rivers are murky, and the air is heavy. It's no longer a distant crisis — it's here and it's shaping our lives as we speak. Pollution is our silent killer, something we created with our own hands — and many of us aren't aware of the consequences of pollution until it's too late. This is not about dirty air or plastic waste. The conversation goes deeper than that. It's about our health, it's about the future of our communities, and it is about the future of our planet. It's time we examine this silent crisis — what the data shows us, what perceptions tell us, and what we can do to reverse this trend. 💨  Pollution Pollution describes the addition of damaging materials or forms of energy to the surrounding environment that creates harmful effects on organisms and nature. These materials, which can include chemicals, plastics, smoke, or noise, interfere...

🕊️ “Pollution Ends When Awareness Begins”

Pollution Ends When Awareness Begins  Pollution just seems to be everywhere—sometimes you wake up to coal smoke drifting in the air, or you spot bits of plastic tangled in seaweed. Rivers start to smell like chemicals. It feels like this is just how things are, but honestly, pollution isn’t some natural disaster. It’s the buildup of choices we’ve made, most of the time without even thinking. The moment you actually notice what’s happening, that’s when things can start to change. In this essay, I’ll walk through how people have described major pollution types over time, share the numbers you should know, and show how awareness—whether it starts with one person, a whole neighborhood, or new policies—keeps pushing back against pollution. And it can keep making a difference. A brief overview: the school of hard knocks  People have been messing up their surroundings for a long time. Even in early settlements, trash and livestock piled up right next to where people lived. But things...
